Mindie Burgoyne, author of Haunted Eastern Shore: Ghostly Tales from East of the Chesapeake will lead a walking tours through historic towns on the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake region. She will highlight some of the town’s stories included in her book and will also share town history, legends, ghost stories, alleged hauntings and tales of the dead.  Her research was done by studying each town’s history, old newspaper articles, oral commentary and the folklore collection in the Nabb Research Center at Salisbury University.  She will point out places for where others have snapped digital images and seen apparitions and oddities.

Into the Haunted Forest – The Pocomoke walk actually includes a section in the Pocomoke Forest  – one of the most haunted places in all of the Eastern Shore.  No other forest in the Mid Atlantic Region, except perhaps the Great Dismal Swamp has as many ghost tales associated with it.  Guest will follow the guide into the forest and hear about spirits and aliens that have been known to haunt the forest.  The cypress trees make for a spooky background – all of them seem to have faces.

    :

My husband, son, and I had a wonderful time on our recent ghost tour of Pocomoke. Even though I had grown up in Pocomoke, I learned so much about the town during the tour. Mindie is so knowledgeable and made the tour lots of fun as we learned all about the weird goings on around town. I can’t recommend this tour enough. We are all ready for the next one!
