MINDIE BURGOYNE BLURB – Mindie Burgoyne owns Travel Hag Tours, LLC which includes two subsidiaries: Chesapeake Ghost Tours and Thin Places Mystical Tours. The tour companies offer travel to mystical places or travel for the mind and spirit. Mindie is also an author, travel blogger, and speaker.
Mindie has authored six books on local travel and history published by The History Press. She served 20 years as a church musician and composer, and five years as a publisher of books on pastoral ministry and theological texts. Before publishing, Mindie spent 17 years in direct sales eventually operating a Tupperware franchise that required her to train and motivate a sales team of over 300 women. During this time she achieved top recognitions in sales both nationally and internationally. After moving to the Eastern Shore of Maryland in 2002, she gave up being a church musician and focused that energy on writing about travel for the mind, body, and spirit. In 2019, Mindie launched the Thin Places Travel Podcast on Mind, Body, Spirit travel, and mystical landscapes.
Mindie’s writing and photographs have been published by CBS News, National Geographic Television Network, Baltimore Sun, Vancouver Sun, National Catholic Reporter, Guideposts Magazine, Notre Dame Alumni Magazine, Coastal Style, Arcadia Publishing, the History Press, Maryland Life Magazine and What’s Up?
